Cassels Brock students are supporting the Amici Charity! On Saturday, May 31, 2014, the Amici Charity organized their annual Canoe Heads for Kids fundraising event. Supporters embarked on a 15 KM paddle and portage adventure through downtown Toronto, and the CBB students were there to show their support. Amanda Metallo, Alexandra Murphy, Chad Podolsky, Jacquie Richards, Michael Garbuz, Robyn Blumberg and Stephanie Provato volunteered at this amazing initiative. The students were responsible for the snack station as well as helping with set-up.

The Amici Charity is a registered charity that sends boys and girls from low-income families to 33 overnight summer camps in Ontario. The organization is founded on the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to attend summer camp. Part of Amici’s mandate is also to foster a lasting relationship between a sponsored child and his/her camp so that each child can grow and develop life-long skills.
